Techniche Limited (ASX: TCN) is pleased to announce the promotion of Chris Boys to the position of Chief Operations Officer, effective immediately.

Previously the CEO of Techniche subsidiary Prologic, Mr. Boys was appointed as Global Business Development Manager for Techniche in August 2009. After a further review of the future requirements of the company, the Techniche Board believed that Mr. Boys’ ability to successfully manage and grow business capabilities would best be applied in this new role.

“This is another exciting step forward for Techniche”, notes Techniche Managing Director Karl Jacoby. “With our continued focus on further acquisitions, The Board of Techniche determined it was appropriate to have Mr. Boys responsible for the day to day management of our growing portfolio of business interests and allow appropriate time to focus on acquisitions and capital raisings.”    

Mr. Boys has considerable experience in both the technical and managerial facets of the IT industry, with his involvement in the sector commencing in 1967. Becoming the Sales and Marketing Manager of Prologic in 2000, Mr. Boys then joined the Prologic Board in 2003, became the General Manager in 2005 and CEO in 2007.

Replacing Mr. Boys as CEO of Prologic is David Combes, formerly the General Manager of Alphawest’s Tasmanian division. Mr. Combes commenced his role at Prologic on October 12^th 2009.
